After a long wait, fall colors have finally arrived here in Cincinnati. My first stop for fall colors was Sharon Woods in Sharonville, Ohio. It's a popular park with beautiful walking trails as well as recreational activities like fishing, boating, and golfing.
I started at Sharon Lake, which was lined with fall foliage at its peak. The vibrant colors cast beautiful reflections in the lake. Then I went along the Gorge Nature Trail, which starts with a long staircase leading to a river dam. Along the trial were picturesque waterfalls, bridges, and pops of fall colors. This week I finally made my way to downtown Cincinnati camera in hand. Over the past year I've gotten to know the Covington side of the Ohio River pretty well as I recently had my wedding at a venue right on the river. As you walk along the Covington side, there's a wall decorated in a beautiful variety of murals. It adds something very special to the area and they're truly works of art. One of the main points of interest of the area is of course the Roebling bridge connecting Cincinnati and Covington. It's a pedestrian-friendly bridge, which makes it a great place to walk around.
